It’s time to level up your DataDAO. Starting April 1, you have exactly 3 months — until July 1 — to make these upgrades. Staying compliant will ensure you’re eligible for DataDAO rewards starting from Epoch 6 under the new system.

Here’s an overview of what’s changing:

• VRC-15: Move to a more secure, privacy-preserving data-access architecture so app builders can safely query your dataset.
  • Testnet Launch: April 1
  • Mainnet Launch: April 7
  • Before April 7, you can only fully test on the testnet.
• VRC-20: Any DataDAO that wants incentives needs a data token that meets new supply, vesting, and security standards.
• VRC-14: Rewards get distributed based on real metrics — data access fees, token trading volume, and contributor count — and come as daily buy-ins of your DataDAO token.
